Becoming Something

Reminiscing about the past,
About what was once a blast,
Nothing was hard,
All was simple...

Everything was innocent
Nothing with malice,
But times have changed,
and so have I

I am no longer a sweet girl,
I am filled with malevolence,
Only evil thoughts fill my mind,
and have pushed away the kindness that was once in my heart.

Revenge,
Sweet revenge would make me happy,
But I really wish that the past,
was back...

I want no more,
of this dark shadow,
casting itself on my soon-to-be-short, unimportant life,
with nothing but sadness clutching me tight.

I'll never be able to go back to the past,
So all I can do for now is reminisce,
And hope that I do not,
Become what I am afraid of.

This was written just when I was not feeling like myself. I'm usually a cheery person, but we all have our days... Don't we?
