Waiting
He downed another shot of whiskey and sighed
 As the clock ticked on
 And all he heard and felt was time
 All other feelings gone
 
 He took another drag and cried
 As his hair faded grey 
 And all he tasted and saw were lies
 All he needed had flown away
 
 He popped another pill with his hands tied
 As he waited and withered
 And all he knew was goodbye
 All of his heart had left with her
