Breathless
You'll never understand the chills
the tears
and the aches you made me feel.
I hear your breaths,
short and soft.
I feel your fingers
touching my body
and I notice my breath
becoming shorter and shorter
I feel my eyes stinging
from anger and fear
and sometimes at night
I can't sleep
because all I can think about
is your fingers
and your breath
and my body
not wanting to be felt.
I wish I could make you feel
the shortness of breath
the stinging eyes
and the unbearable aches at night
the traces of your fingers
wandering in my temple
without permission
is trespassing
but your fingers
your touch
your mind
don't care about my changing temple
and all the thoughts that come with it.
