Little Lily flower,
Sits alone under the brush.
No neighbors at all,
Except an unblossomed bud.
The fading sun gently sits upon her pink soft petals,
And shadows begin to appear on her only home,
The pond.
Tall grass and dead weeds drape over her,
As if to cover up her loneliness.
Her only friends,
The dark green lily pads,
And even they are swallowed up under the shadows.
She knows the unblossomed bud will never blossom,
For little Lily flower,
Sits alone under the brush.

I really liked the repetition of the first two lines at the end of the poem - I felt so sorry for the poor lily. I also loved the imagery of "Tall grass and dead weeds / drape over her." Wonderful job!
