"Live. Laugh. Love"

An orphaned girl looked up at me
Her sad, blue eyes said something
Something about the past
She had seen suffering and death
Blood and flesh
Her mind filled with dark thoughts
And oceans of sorrow
Her ears had heard crying
Her brain had sensed death
Death was near
It was coming to get her
Her eyes were red
And her heart broken
She had lost the one person she had loved
Her mother
Her mother had given her up
To give her daughter a better life
A better future
So her daughter would not grow up to be like her
Poor and miserable
Her mother had said one word before she perished
One word that was so powerful
The one word that was worth more than a billion dollars
That word was family
“Forget About Me…I Love You”
Family
People who love one another
People who are willing to die for each other
That is a family
But how could the little girl forget
Forget the one person she loved
The person who brought her into this world
The one who gave her up
So that she could have a life filled with joy and not misery
She could never forget
Never
A tear stung my eye
How could something so small go through so much
Impossible, you might think
No, not impossible
This little girl was not impossible
This orphaned girl was a miracle
Truly a miracle
