Villanelle 11
This is a strange number, I do sense,
That appears everywhere I look,
Two digits of mystery and suspense.
It is on the fence,
And in every book,
There is a strange number, I do sense.
This number follows me and hence,
There are many precautions I have took,
Two digits of mystery and suspense.
Its shows itself at night and when the days commence,
And my head, I have now shook,
This is a strange number, I do sense.
But is it a coincidence?
Have I, this number, just mistook?
Two digits of mystery and suspense.
Is this a frequent incidence?
Or have I just opened a fake book,
This is a strange number, I do sense,
Two digits of mystery and suspense.
