How are you feeling?
Lock in my throat,
Gag, spit and choke,
My cheeks bruise and bloat
As the man makes a note,
Probably a misquote
Or my thought he re-wrote
maybe a scribble, a quibble, a gloat.
Threadbare stare,
Spine to chair,
Two hours here
For one minute there.
But I wasn’t there
I wouldn’t dare
Remember or care
To remember despair.
