I’ve learned that you can’t always judge a book by its cover
And that the best friendships/ relationships happen
Under coincidence.
I’ve learned that being naïve only gets you hurt
And that trusting everything you hear makes
Things untrue.
I’ve learned that bad things happen to good people
And God doesn’t create evil,
Man does.
I’ve learned that you have to do what’s best for
Yourself and not care what
Anyone else thinks.
I’ve learned that if you aren’t happy with yourself,
No one else will be happy with you
And that facing a problem is better than
Avoiding it.
I’ve learned that you’ll remember the people you meet,
And the bands you’ve seen at concerts forever
And poetry is a great way to
Express yourself.
I’ve learned that family makes the best of friends,
And even when you hate them you
Love em’.


I’ve learned that life is full of challenges,
And going with the flow is better than
Walking up current.
I’ve learned to trust my gut
And not be
So forgiving.
I’ve learned that putting your heart in someone else’s hands
Will only get it broken,
And sometimes love leaves for
The better.
I’ve learned that insults feel like knives
And to never put matters into your
Own hands.
I’ve learned that you can give respect
And not get it
And not everyone is all they
Crack up to be.
I’ve learned that a pretty face and a bad personality
Is addicting,
And ghosts of the past creep up when you’re
Least expecting them.
I’ve learned to put my faith in something greater than myself
And to cross my fingers and
Hope for the best.
I’ve learned that being negative is toxic
And that it’s okay to rid people from
YOUR life.
These are all things I HAVE LEARNED.
