Bikes and Love
Twisting, tumbling, head against the pavement
Spinning, whirling, scrapped knees and bruised palms...
I never wanted to learn how to ride a bike.
Twisting, tumbling, mind in a daze
Spinning, whirling, tongue twisted and sweaty palms...
I never wanted to fall in love.
But it’s different.
I gave up on the bike thing.
I never learned how to ride a bike.
I didn’t give up on love.
I went through the twisting and tumbling,
The spinning and whirling,
The changes and the new beginnings...
But I lost myself.
Falling in and out of love.
Countlessly.
Feeling the same way,
Endlessly.
The first, the second, the third.
Different things,
Different feelings,
The same concept.
I hated bikes.
I hated love.
I gave up on bikes,
I didn’t give up on love…
Why?
Why do I keep doing this to myself?
I didn’t like bikes,
I didn’t like love,
Why didn’t I give up on it?
