We didn't see each other very often
And we never did anything special
But deep inside I know this feeling
and I can't leave it alone.
We didn't have much in common
And we weren't too close in age
But you were the only boy to ever treat me right
And for that you can't be repayed.
You taught me that boys like you existed
before I thought they were just fiction
You taught me to keep going when times get hard
You taught me to never give up
From you I learned that this world isn't all bad,
And you were the only one to calm me when I was mad.
I love you for that, and now I'm lost
without you to say you love me,
without you to coax me through it,
without you to live for,
I cry everyday now.
