Chaos in Terms
Verbs, nouns, adjectives,
Words.
Noone listens to them.
These words themselves are useless,
These words without meaning or action are betraying me.
They will not stop the pain,
Neither justify nor condemn the evil I have seen and done.
That is a power I myself wield,
Yet to create a thought is tiresome.
To act is to be free.
These thoughts keep me trapped inside,
The words I speak confine me.
How am I to express myself when words do not explain
But by action, in anger,
Fear, hope,
Rage and love.
No, my words will not confine me.
Instead I will be liberated,
I will allow myself to be undone,
The buttons and ribbons of my language lost to time, and lost to feeling.
Let those faithless word and the cowardice of my heart be cast aside and left.
Today is a new day, and I will no longer use these expressionless words,
That cannot portray the
Ineptitude,
The sacrifice,
The broken trust,
The constant fear and
R a g e
That bubbles inside me,
Threatening to boil over into my soul.
No.
Today I change,
Today I will act,
For I will not confine me,
Just as these words cannot confine me anymore.
