I Am Nothing

I am nothing
But the silent whispers in your sleep
The dreams you dream so real
The hot touch of the sun

The light that guides you
Into a world of endless possibilities
And the last breath you draw
From my expanding lungs

I am nothing
But the birds and bees that buzz in spring
Sucking pollen from sunflowers and tulips
And soar without a care

Blowing wind beneath your wings
And the trees that blossom green
The sharp blades of grass
That tickles the balls of your feet

I am nothing
But the love you never had
The kiss you always wanted
And the touch that makes you melt

The reason and the purpose
To wake up in the morning
To sleep at night
And every moment in between

I am nothing
But the motivating factor
The bounce in your step
And the smile on your face

The seasons and the moon
The tears and the laughter
I may be nothing to you
But really I am more
