"I was one of the children told, some of the blowing dust was gold." -Robert Frost

These pages bound

by thread unwound and hewn by sister's hand

are splattered with ink

that tell a story

of a girl who walked this valley land

the ink will tell you how she walked

through storm and burning strife

through laughter,pain,joy,and sorrow

with faithful hope of a new tomorrow

she walked barefoot through this life

she watched them come

she watched them go

her loved ones left her to walk alone

but she is guided on this path

through green pastures

by the Shepard's staff

between the pages inscribed with ink

she walks a rugged land

and to the end she stuck it out

'til the Lord did come and took her hand

the ink will tell you how she walked

through storm and burning strife

on these pages a story unfolds

a story of a life
