Recovery
I got lost in recovery,
And the world just doesn't seem fair.
I'm caught in limbo, no control;
I'm pulling out my hair.
My muscles are tight and buzzing
With movement I haven't done.
Circling my wrists and clenching my fists,
I struggle to go on.
I won't wait for your flowers;
I don't expect a call.
But it's the ever screeching, condemned sound
That bugs me most of all.
So I'll hide in the darkness,
And wipe the tears away.
I'll scream and shout, let the pain out
And hope tomorrow, it's ok.
