No Fear
The sky turns dark black like night
The wind howls and screams
The clouds roll in preparing to fight
The rain crashes and floods
The old orphanage stands hushed
Inside no child can be heard
Children huddle together with their little hearts rushed
Pray for safety from the storm
The thunder roars and grumbles
But one girl has no fear
Excited like a puppy she watches the storm
Deaf, nothing can she hear.

I wrote this poem in honor of a deaf friend. Who often said good things come from being deaf.
