Words
Sticks and stones may break my bones;
Your words will also hurt me.
I lie awake and feel alone,
Too tired to get up early.
The wind and rain soothes my pain
But your judgement sits upon me.
How can I look past it all
When the words just ache so strongly?
Looking at me, looking at me;
All the eyes start staring.
I don't know where to find my peace
When no one here is caring.
So push me aside; I will feel small,
Alone and unwanted.
Only the sky will see me cry
Through the smile that I have fronted.
