Confetti Paper Heart
Confetti paper heart
 Stapled to my chest
 So easily torn away
 Into colorful strips of paper
 Beautiful yet weak
 Vulnerable
To the slightest gust of wind
To every tiny drop of water
To any single flash of flame
 Gullible
 So easily persuaded by
 Precarious winds of change
 A single lonely teardrop
 Any single word simply whispered
 Colorful strips of paper
Floating away in the slightest Semblance of a heart
 Ragged holes where staples once
 Held it to my chest
 My paper confetti heart
