cupid's arrow
The strange giggles coming from this child, should have told me something
He was not an ordinary baby
Yet I was deceived by his chubby cheeks and pouty lips
With his guiltless smile and humongous eyes
The small toddler lured me in
I should have known this infant was different
In his hands he held toys that were familiar, yet strange for a child to have
He pointed them at me and squinted an eye
How silly he looked, adorable too
With the snap of his hand, a part of his toy came flying towards me
And with unbelievable precision it pierced my heart
Unable to think unable to act
I felt myself begin to transform
The baby's toy became a part of me
And I became a foolish being without any senses
