I stare at my journal
My pen in hand is shakeing
With every word I write about you
My heart continues breaking

Your face is in my dreams
Your arms hold me once more
But I know that that isn't now
That was just before

Before
When we were inceperable
Before
When we said "I Love You" at the end of our conversations
And on Fridays we'd go to the movies
Holding hands on your lap

Before is gone
And so are WE
So I know just what to do now
Come with me I'll take you there
To the playground

Diary in hand, matches in my pocket
I'm ready now
Are you?
I throw my memories in the trash can

I don't know if this will help me more
But I have to take the chance
So I strike the match and being to burn

WHAT WE HAD BEFORE
