My Toxic Addiction
I wish I had the time to tell you that I love you,
But I sit here under the moon, ready to forget.
And I said I would leave at midnight, knowing you cannot stop me.
Somehow it feels better to leave without a trace.
Someday, I'll have the courage to return to a town so broken,
And who knows, even then you still may not have left.
And if that's the case, you and I may be able to start again;
My body won't be your sin and your heart, my toxic addiction.
