It’s like a famine
it’s time to examine
what this pollution has
done to this planet

look around
take a look at the ground
It’s not sound
look out
pollution's inbound
our world is a battleground
don’t horse around,
we’ve run aground
we’re on a countdown
this won't die down
the world’s gonna drown

how long will it take
for us people to break
these stupid habits we make
disrespecting our lakes

take a second to think
you don’t want to worry
about what you drink
and comes through your kitchen sink

I’m writing this down
to get your attention
but it’s toxic,
poisonous ink
we’re on the brink
of extinction
if you don’t wanna be extinct
be aware
of what’s happening to your precinct

this isn’t in my dreams
look what's in our streams
I’m not talking extremes
look up in the sky
we can't see the sunbeams
just a big gray cloud
this shouldn’t be allowed

don’t just think “you should do something”
say it outloud
and let everyone hear
that our world might disappear
from the things that we do
without even a clue
this is true
we’ve pulled off more than we can chew
I’m through.
Take a look around
open your eyes, see the world’s view
we need to pursue
what she’s going through
overcome with mildew
she’s in so much pain
like the battle of Waterloo
this is overdue
so stop.
Think,
what do I need to attend to

because the world’s hurtin’
now that is for certain,
now let's determine
we need to fix this burden

something needs to change
it’s strange
we don’t care about the future
but we’re in the firing range.
it’s a small exchange
we won't have a life
let us leave this strife

and do something different
leave something for your infant
anything you do is significant
nobody is innocent.
