A Tribute to Alan Rickman
Talent, acting, and actors
Talent is an accident of
genes- and a responsibility.
Acting touches nerves you have
absolutely no control over.
Actors are agents of change.
A film, a piece of theatre,
a piece of music, or a book
can make a difference
and it can change the world.
We need to tell stories to
each other about who we are,
why we are,
where we come from,
and what might be possible.
For every role you play
you’ve got to absorb
that character’s motives and justifications.
Part win prizes, not actors.
Snape
Look...at...me
I have spied for you
and lied for you,
put myself in mortal danger
for you.
There is no point
in apportioning blame.
What is done, is done.
I wish I were dead.
I am the Half-Blood Prince.
I am not such a coward.
What is done, is done.
I wish I were dead.
It may have escaped your notice
but life isn’t fair.
Always.
I wish I were dead.
Control your emotions.
Discipline your mind.
The mind is a complex
and many layered thing.
I wish I were dead.
I only wish to convey a message.
Over the years I’ve played my part well.
