Drowning
It feels like its been an eternity
Though really only minutes
You can’t fight against gravity
The weight is pulling down
Weak arms are trying to hold on
Barely keeping above the waves
Waiting for the light of dawn
Been fighting for so long
Only a few more inches
And my grip is slipping
Then I’m lost to the ocean trenches
Listening to mermaid song
The waves rise up
My grip is completely gone
The ocean swallows me in one big gulp
And I’m lost to the depths
