My Unfinished Obsession
I'd try to fix it, try to make it right, my heart skips a beat, when stare at your shadow, lying in your ghostly arms far past midnight. I cannot live without you, your beautiful smile what I miss, why can I not hear you, your eyes more powerful then this. There are not many words I can use to describle how I felt, not many, only one, not spoken, now unfelt. I long for your voice, some sign that you're there, these haunting shadows are nothing but unfair. I need to feel your hands, connect with your eyes, fill my disaster of a rainy day, with noting but your perfect, unending blue skies. I remember that time you told me to hold on, hold on to dreams and memories, now these all I see. I see a heart, a heart made of flesh, now tainted, now broken, in need of final rest. I wait every day until I see you again, always hoping, always dreaming, never giving up on what life gave to us, and what death finally took. I tell you from the center of my heart, this is not the end of our perfect, unfinished book.
