Some people find it easy
To have faith in things unseen
Their life seems to go easy
With nary a shadow along the road
While others among us have bumpy twisting roads
Left and then right
Up, but mostly down
Scarcely having gotten up
Then to be beaten down again
Rocked by things beyond our control
Bruises on the inside and the out
Their steadfast courage touches us all
As helpless bystanders we watch
Reaching out a hand here and their
Brushing off their clothes,
Encouraging them with a few words
Little do the persevering ones
Realize what an impact they have on those around them
The wind strengthens a seedling
And their own courage is a testament to that fact
