Poems for Friends: S.J.

The fourth grade is where we started.
We raised the sails of friendship
And we have never departed.
We had become a couple twice before,
But still here we are forevermore.
You are my sister now,
The past is history.
We have a future to embark upon,
Not as lovers though,
But as the best of friends.
We have been through Rocky shallows
And hostile shores,
Yet here we are forevermore!

This particular friend has been through many trials with me, but we have passed through them stronger than ever! I also wanted to compare us to a boat because we have a persistent, well-built, and well-maintained friendship.
