Children

Singing, moving without shadows
breathing life like wind
Cold nights
Warm days
Playing in the frail light
as leaves twirl like a tornado
noone speaks of hate
Love
It exists only in emotions

Days go by like a 4th of July
Teardrops fall like rain in a Sahara desert
The honest lies wash like rain
The evil lies jut out from under mattresses like knives
But children,
Have no knives to sleep on

Quiet youth
Climbing trees
Drowned fear
Under basins of dreams
The heavens radiate with spirit
The ground,
Full of life and mystery,
and their eyes,
are like looking into the sun,
Blinding.

No black days seen
Just bright lights
No hatred seen
Just love,
No beauty destroyed before their eyes,
The only innocent souls left
Are the ones untouched by human hands
Let them be tampered
become the majority
give up your joy
for black days
Children
dreaming of resolutions
Solutions
And an overall end to the cause

Why must the bounds of love and hate continually be so muddled?

haha, that's how I am too. I suck at writing about happiness... well glad to know you aren't depressed after all. :]

You are very good at writing what you write about... and I'm worried about that.

Try not to linger on the bad aspects in life even though it's often easiest since there are so few good aspects. But cherish those few and you will see the joy life can bring. Overcome the dark with light.
