amongst the small talk and laughter, our eyes linked.
you gazed upon my looking glass as if you were swimming in iris bloom.
silence wrapped it's blanket around that moment.
silence.
though, every word was uttered.
every emotion sought portrayal.
all thoughts provoked and intertwined in bliss.
i've dreamt about moments this beautiful.
i was far too scared of speech, far too afraid of allowing time to exist.
it was as though i have never felt.
to feel.
to caress the entirety of one's energy.
