I'm from
I am from books,
From caliber notebooks and sharpies.
I am from the white and blue house on Main st,
Old,roomy,
Breeze blowing through the cracks.
I am from the weeds,
The wind,
Blowing down everything in it’s way.
I’m from mario games and voting,
From Mom and her “I love you”s.
I’m from the constant bickering,
And the slamming of hands.
From speaking english,
And ASL.
I’m from a catholic church,
Until i discovered my own beliefs.
I’m from Italy and more,
Pasta and tacos.
From the death of my uncle,
And the divorce of my parents many years ago.
I am from disaster and glory,
I am from moving trucks and old houses.
I am from crying and laughter.
I am miles from sadness and rulers from happiness.
