Like A Frightened Bird, She Hid...
She danced, a magical dance of
Feelings she thought she'd lost forever.
A peace of mind and body,
A lust for life that flowed through her.
How could she have let them steal it away,
Leave her to wander blind and astray.
The sunlight filtered through lighter strands,
A liquid blue to bore straight through her.
Giving her a sense of belonging, a remedy
From being lonely.
A perfect fit of fingers entwined,
A secret kiss, a stolen list.
Mark the flaws off, one by one,
Care not about them, ready to take the plunge.
Her whole starts to heal,
Away the shadows are sealed.
She hid the box away,
Then went to meet him in a field.
With eyes wide open,
She saw the grand design.
What wonders the world beheld for her.
He paves the path, she follows closely.
She's finally able to know how to be happy.
