Luchar/ To Fight
I am not fighting
 For America's wealth
 Or for its business men.
 I am not fighting
 For three piece suits
Or the ones who wear them.

 I am not fighting
 For unborn babies
Or some love that will always fail.
 I am fighting
For the principles of this land,
Of life, liberty, and the great white whale.

 I am not fighting
 For taxes and droughts
 And all the politician's lies.
 I am fighting for
 The culture here:
 Waving flags and greasy fries.

 I am not fighting
 For bubble gum pop
Or shots for flus and colds.
 I am fighting for
 Our lady liberty,
And the torch she forever holds.

 I am not fighting
 For stock market crimes
 And useless political fights.
 I am fighting for
 Warm Alabama summers
 And blazing New York nights.

 I am fighting
 For late night stories
 And my mother's nursery rhyme.
 and I am fighting
 For Fourth of July's
 Until the end of time.
