Summer love
it was sweet and sticky
like cotton candy
shared at a carnival
full of bonfire dates
and kisses under the stars
our two hands entwined
and then he was saying
"ill love you forever"
two more months go by
full of the tennessee mountains
and his love
then i pack up my bags
give him a goodbye kiss
since im headed back to texas
that boy was
the soundtrack of my summer
and yeah, i still have his number
but he was just another
summer lover
