Angels in the Snow
The snow falls quick and soft; it seems to sing
His bare cheeks glow from cold, he walks outside
It's wet more like the rain that falls in spring
But unlike spring, the flowers cringe and hide
Flakes just like these would fall when he was young
So dense, so heavy, "snowman building" kind
The cotton fluffs just beg to meet his tongue
He keeps on pace, the graves don't seem to mind
His dad had loved to play on days like this
A child once again for just a day
His angels in the snow aglow with bliss
His dad would never call the winter gray
He sees his father's grave with distant love
He would be glad to know snow falls above
