Shadow of Death

It feels like the shadow of death
pulling me in.
Gasping for air; to hold on
What I thought was there was a desperate illusion.
It feels like slowly dying of a painful death.
It feels like a loved one letting me go over a cliff.
It feels like I'm invisible.
It feels like my heart was ripped out of my chest and broken into two.
It feels like secrets, depair, distrust, anger, hurt.
It feels like being lonely.
