Her love is silence
washed over me
tender thoughts kept inside
harsch words spoken maliciously
a bitter substitute
drowns me

His love is pain
beaten on to me
contradictions,
reiterated
until love and pain
become one to me

But your love, true love
replenishes me
it is heaven sent,
indubitably
you show me what love
is meant to be.

this poem is about:
I was taught that love is pain by my parents, because they would hurt me and then say "I love you."
but I found someone who is showing me what love really is.
