im locking my own doors. closing myself in from the outside. shes screaming but out my mouth reigns silence. quietly i follow but shes kicking in the walls. what can i do? mourn in myself or fall to my knees in public. i can never fall, i was never taught, so let me sit in this torture chamber, let her beat below the surface, we'll be of no like in public and cry together in secret. Ill be perfect like they want.

its like having two selves. the one you show to the world, who they want you to be, and the one you keep hidden, the one no one wants to see.

You can smile on the surface, but be beating yourself up on the inside. Because the one you keep hidden wants to be let out, wants to be known
