What Have We Done?
What have we done?
We preach to our children to be themselves
Then don't accept any of their choices because its not what we want.
What have we done?
Promoting false perfection that encourages young girls
To change their bodies to fit an unrealistic standard.
To starve their stomachs of food and their minds of knowledge.
What have we done?
Killing the planet that gives us life.
Destroying scenery that future generations will never see.
Polluting the air and our minds.
What have we done?
Becoming enveloped in media.
A society of technology.
Of humans turned machines.
What have we done?
Putting a block on creativity.
Censoring our thoughts and ideas.
Keeping quiet out of fear of rejection.
What have we done?
