For You,

That this will not change you.
Haunt you.
Pain you.
Destroy you.

That whatever power,
Person,
Entity,
Who has the ability to love you,
Does.
Can.
Chooses to.

That forgiveness comes your way.

That you won't blame yourself.
Hurt yourself.
See yourself differently.

That you will one day smile
that way that you do.
Laugh.
Cry, and not over this.

That anxiety and pure exhaust will soon leave your heart.
That your heart may not be heavy.
That your mind may be clear.

That you may look into the mirror and smile.

That this isn't paining you as it is me.
That you may walk with the knowledge that so many people love you.
Including him.
Your Mother.
Me.

Me.
That I can help you.
That you can tell me when to stop.
When to start.

That you understand how much I was to absorb this from you.
Take it for myself.
Erase it.

I wish that my smile we enough.
I wish laughing really did heal all wounds.
I wish I could make you smile and I could it would stay there.
All day.
All week.
For the rest of your life.
I wish that you only needed me to heal you.
I wish it were that easy.

I love you.
This will be better.
Good.
Over.
Past.
It has to be.

That we will all be okay one day.
That we will keep that knowledge in our hearts.
In our chests.
In our bones.
Our lungs.
In all of us.

Amen.
