We're all mad here in this strange land.
Here creatures are a different brand.
You will find a white rabbit here,
Scurrying everywhere in fear,
Checking his pocket watch in hand

Soon he drops into a hole and
Emerges near a shore of sand,
Where animals race so stand clear!
We're all mad here!

A large table set for tea and
Cards obey the one in command.
There's a cat who can disappear.
Look! Only his grin remains here!
This is the place called Wonderland,
We're all mad here!

The author's comments:
This type of poem is a rondeau and it's really hard to write! It took me awhile to find the proper rhymes but I did it!

I was inspired by some dialogue in "Alice in Wonderland".

"But I don't want to go among amd people," said Alice.

"Oh you can't help that," said the cat.

"We're all mad here."
