Returned To You
As the silence approaches,
I lie still,
As the morning sun creeps into my window,
I lie still,
As the sound of my heartbeat grows faint,
I lie still,
As my eyes grow weary, a deathly sleep
I lie still
As that distant memory flashes,
A ghostly image, faint
I lie still
As the thieves of heart and the murders of dreams enter my presence again,
I awake
My senses alerted, vision restored, hideous what I see, my heart released, dreams come out, no longer bent, no longer broken, they have slain that dreadful beast.
