Let the Music Play
Let the Music Play
As the bow touched the strings, the sound traveled across the room.
The noise hit against the wall and the sound echoed back.
My fingers moved quickly to keep the rhythm of the Irish jig.
I look up at the auditorium and everything is dark.
I can barely notice the hundreds of people in the audience.
The spotlight is on me,
I am the star of the night.
My foot taps against the floor of the stage.
My eyes closed, and the melodies rung.
When my eyes opened, the crowd gave a loud applause.
A standing ovation was given.
My first of many performances.
