Endless Battle
Pompous monsters,
roaming around me,
Attacking me form all sides
with no one at my side
fighting off the beasts,
that continue to attack,
with no relent.
"For one alone will fall
but two that stand
back to back
will conqure"
I wish that for me,
some one to
stand and fight with.
But I stand alone
no one near
or close at hand
I coninue to fight,
feeling the end to come,
As the leader of the beasts
stalks me
circles me
waiting patiently to strike,
for that weakness to attack,
to go in for the kill.
As I fight though
I see their weakness
I prie at them
like a man opening a box.
I show strength
and they shake
for they now quake
to attack
and run when I.
They are not,
my demons,
But my agressors.
on occasion my
field of blood
and carnage
crosses the paths of others
gaining an unexpected allie,
for a short time.
And in times of peace,
I toil away
at the land
staind red
by the bodies that lay
soacking into the ground they go.
But it doesn't take long
for the legions
of the beasts strike again.
So I fight,
and remain.
On the field I picked
to slay them one by one.
in an eternal battle,
never ending,
ever lasting,
war upon my soul.
