An Alarming Cycle

Everyday I wake up to a sound,
And everyday I lay back down.
Everyday I get up to an ache,
And everyday I take more than an hour to wake.
Everyday I jolt from my dreams,
And everyday I wake up to screams.
Everyday I lay and wait,
And everyday I leave to choose my fate.
