A kid the day after Halloween,
Always.
Hops and skips
With a little zip.
A jog, a sprint
Or halfway in between.
That "Gotta get there walk"
With nowhere to be.
Just bursting with excitment Waiting to explode.

I like it a lot! It is full of strong descriptive words. One thing I think would help the flow is to split the last line so that the final line reads "Waiting to explode."
