Mom, I Love You
Mom, I love you,
For everything you do.
You make my life meaningful,
You're the leader I always knew
And for that, I am thankful.
It started when I was small
You held me in your arms.
You made sure I had it all
You made it so I’d never see harm.
You were there from the start
For all this, I hold you dearest to my heart.
Mom, I love you,
I know that that is true.
You saw my first step,
You watched As I Grew.
You helped me to prep
For my life ahead.
Sometimes I wished I had someone else,
But now all I wish is for you instead.
You taught me to speak my mind
And to always, always be kind.
You spoke the truth,
You helped me get through my youth.
You were always my counterpart
For all this, I hold you dearest to my heart.
Mom, I love you
You've always been there.
By your shows of love
I now know that you care.
You are my dove,
My light in the dark.
You helped me through everything,
You enlightened my spark.
To you I would cling.
You gave me support
When I felt down.
You would be my escort,
You made sure I'd never frown.
You're oh so very smart,
For all this, I hold you dearest to my heart.
Mom, I love you.
I hope you believe me
When I say that is true.
Mom, I love you,
I hope you know I care.
And, just know
I'll always be there.
Mom, I love you,
I hope you find your way.
But, just know, Live life,
Even if it's only for a day.
Mom, I love you.
I hope that were never apart
For all this, I hold you dearest to my heart.
