Stain
Everything is everywhere;
Nothing is nowhere.
They don’t leave;
Nor do they breathe.
Choices they made;
Consequences they’ve paid.
In denial,
Hoping for revival.
Soul is not forgotten,
Can’t get grease out of cotton.

This poem is inspired by the novel, "The Outsiders." Through a journey of consciousness, the narrative of these lines relates to the theme of isolation and how each choice has a related outcome that you have to be mindful of. The final line is a metaphor about the impact that someone can have on your life even after they are gone.
