Per aspera ad astra.

In a country where people cannot sing

Like my heart when I lost thee

Where people deem gender and put us on sins

Royally, I hope I could never see

The designation is paving the wall between us

Like my kneel when I lost thee

Eyes were deliberate on catching our voice to each other

Painfully, I hope I could never see

Big titles warn us never to come across ever

Like my plea when I lost thee

Their hands are huge reaching the red of you to the blue of me

Lifelessly, I hope I could never see

Being deprived of being myself to serve my love and sincere

Like my tear when I lost thee,

Ordering the man that serves a wrong God

Resentfully, I hope I could never see

Their destruction never justifies themselves

Like my fight when I lost thee,

Poison put in soup, with witches summoned to curse

Angrily, I hope I could never see

Our love is never blindless and so venturous to break the nameless

Like my knife when I lost thee

The people never surrendered while the city was torn to nothing

Defendlessly, I hope I could never see

So brave we were yet so delicate we are

Like my eyes when I lost thee

Atlantics and Oceanics now separate the magics

Desperately, I hope I could never see

The author's comments:

This piece is dedicated to my 5 year's love Lian.

We were discriminated because homosexuality is not socially tolerated in high school in China.

Now, we are oceans apart, and I write this ballad to memorate our never-changing love to one another.
