Favorite Quote:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
-Marianne Williamson

If I told you I was black
Would you run away far?
Would you hate me
Because I'm not like you are?

If I said I was mixed
Would you look away and say ew?
Would you tease me and call me names
Because I'm not like you?

Now that you know I'm different
When you have a party would you invite me?
Or would you just lie to my face
And still pretend that you're sorry?

There's so many bad people in this world
That it's hard to see the ones that are good
Would you judge me by the colour of my skin
Or by what's inside like you should?

Funny, we don't judge animals by the color of their fur....why do we still judge humans by skin color?
