In darkened rooms and held hands we'll remember what used to be us
We'll find the time to feel what's right and won't look back on love
In spilled ink with a paper heart I'll relive what never really should have been
I'll find the right you felt with me and give into another sin
In auburn sheets and rendered thoughts you won't forget me
You'll take my heart and pretend you know, but now, you'll never see
In clever thoughts and selfish words she'll take what once was mine
She'll steal his heart, he won't look back, and I'll pretend I'm fine
