Favorite Quote:
There can be no society without poetry, but society can never be realized as poetry, it is never poetic. Sometimes the two terms seek to break apart. They cannot.
-Octavio Paz

A boy of seven; love and guile.
Dream a fable of peace, then gently smile.
Sit still and listen; stay for a while.
Unveil a broken home and the tears of a child.

A boy of eleven, deeply beguiled.
His silver lined poems are seemingly mild.
Sit still and listen; stay for a while.
See a nightlight flickering and the fears of a child.

A boy of thirteen, placid, yet wild.
Embers are amiable atop torment compiled.
Sit still and listen; stay for a while.
Find scarred on the skin are the sears of a child.

Time strolls past with memories reviled.
Shackles retreat for a charred soul is riled.
Sit still and listen; stay for a while.
You said you wanted to hear of my years as a child.
